Director of Logistics & Warehouse Operations

 

The Director of Logistics & Warehouse Operations is responsible for the detailed planning, organization, management, and implementation of operations that are related to warehousing and logistics. The person oversees day-to-day operations related to products receiving, picking, packing and shipping with the objective to ship all orders on time and in full. This position also drives operational excellence in all warehouse operations and owns all logistics and distribution procedures.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans supporting Spineart Global Operations roadmap deployment
  • Oversee day-to-day logistics and warehouse activities including transportation, receiving, inventory control, pick/pack/ship activities, returns processing and distribution.
  • Measure and drive team performance to improve efficiency, maximize on-time shipping and delivery, enhance customer satisfaction, and reduce costs
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute complex projects from inception to completion
  • Build and develop a high-performing logistics team, providing coaching and mentorship to support professional growth and development
  • Strategically adjust department’s activities, policies and practices to meet and/or exceed key performance metrics and customer satisfaction goals
  • Manage international logistics activities, including import/export compliance, customs clearance, carrier/freight forwarder relationships
  • Manage vendor relationships with packaging and warehouse supply companies, material handling and equipment suppliers
  • Perform root cause analysis to solve complex issues related to business processes and/or system functionalities and drive corrective action plans
  • Be accountable for logistics and warehouse spend and productivity, working to optimize costs while maintaining high service level
  • Anticipate growth of operations against capacities to maintain and ensure proper storage, receiving, and shipping capabilities for present and future business
  • Ensure contingency policies, systems and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruption
  • Implement and enforce safety guidelines and procedures in the warehouse.

Profile:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar position with proven track record of successfully managing logistics and warehousing scale-ups and delivering results on time and within budget
  • Experience in medical device field a plus
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles and change management methodologies
  • Dedication to providing exceptional service level and building a winning culture
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals
  • French and English mandatory (recent professional use)
  • Significant ERP and WMS knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus).
  • Master’s Degree in the field of Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Engineering & Technology with
