Following the acquisition of its main implant supplier in September 2017, Spineart acquired in February 2018 the spine assets of MedicMicro, a Swiss company specialized in the development, manufacturing and marketing of orthopaedic power tools. Spineart is now able to internally integrate electronics and powered instruments in its projects in order to remain at the forefront of innovation in the spine market.
BAGUERA® C in China
We are proud to announce the launch of our cervical disc prosthesis BAGUERA® C in the fastest growing spine market, China. The launch has been successfully organized in November 2017, in Zhuhai, with the participation of 2 well known Key Opinion leaders from Beijing, 70 Chinese arthroplasty experts and Spineart's management. The first surgery has been successfully performed few days after in Nanchang. More than 26'000 BAGUERA® C have been implanted so far worldwide.
Clean Room
To be more reactive, more flexible and reduce inventory cost, we decided in 2017 to internalize the assembling and the packaging of our devices. In Q4 2017 the Clean Room was built and validation tests on equipment and environment (water, air, particles, ...) were carried out. The first productions will start on January 15, 2018, ensuring 50% of our needs in 2018 and 80% the following year.
Ti-LIFE TECHNOLOGY: The Ultimate Bridge to Fusion
Spineart has developed a specific algorithm to enhance the classic additive manufacturing process resulting in a unique bone-like matrix: Ti-LIFE Technology. Ti-LIFE Technology is a Titanium porous structure similar to natural trabecular bone, a geometry that would not be possible through classic manufacturing processes.
Alpes CN Acquisition
