For our R&D Department, we are looking for a Product Development Engineer
Mission
You will participate in designing and developing surgical spine instruments and implantable medical devices.
Collaborating closely with a project team, including the project manager and engineers, you will contribute to various development projects aimed at introducing new products and supporting existing product lines.
You will comply with applicable regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820 et MDD 93-42-EEC & MDR 2017/745).
Main responsibilities
- Contribute to the establishment of the design specifications.
- Execute the design of new products according to the specification requirements, cost objectives, performance, quality standards.
- Comply with the project schedule.
- Responsible for the drawing dimensioning and the drawing management.
- Responsible for prototyping and manufacturing of test devices in conjunction with the manufacturers.
- Contribute to the test plan, execute, or follow up on tests.
- Contribute to the industrialization of new products (in particular drawings review).
- Write documentation, including test reports, in accordance with Regulatory and Quality requirements.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the Design History File (DHF) of the projects.
- Occasional support to Regulatory Affairs, Production, Quality, Process Validation, Product Inspection and Marketing.
Who you are:
- Degree in Design and Industrialization with solid technical knowledge in the design and manufacture of new products.
- Intensive experience in dimensioning and creation of drawings on Solidworks.
- Experience in a technical field with strong regulatory constraints (medical, automotive, special machinery, aeronautics…).
- Fluent in French and English (recent professional practice).
- Inventive, curious, rigorous, able to propose innovative and efficient technical solutions.
- Interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team.
- Knowledge in the design of Orthopedic devices would be a plus.
