Program Director

 

We are looking for a Program Director to join our Global R&D Department.

This is a full-time position.

 

MISSION

As the Program Director, your role is crucial in coordinating a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing new products and maintaining existing portfolio.

Your responsibilities include planning and executing multiple projects in alignment with the Project Master Plan.

It is essential to ensure the team’s efficiency through proper resource allocation and validation of design and strategic decisions to lead our projects successfully.

Your leadership will be instrumental in driving the team towards achieving our goals and objectives.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Management

You will be responsible for ensuring that the programme’s projects run smoothly, and will work with management to help make strategic human and technical choices.

  • Direct management of R&D staff (Product Development Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers).
  • Functional management of the rest of the team (Product Managers and Quality Product Engineers) in coordination with the Global MKT Director and the VP Quality Product.
  • Coordinate the programme’s activities, ensuring that priorities and planning are respected in accordance with the established Project Master Plan.
  • Manage the allocation of resources and the projects operations within budget and planning.
  • Participate with the Management in establishing the Product strategy.
  • Ensure top-down communication with the team in order to communicate the vision for current and future products and projects.
  • Monitor the Product changes and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and interactions with other departments.
  • Provide agile management to the team, empowering and developing the skills of each individual.

 

Projects

You will be responsible for ensuring the launch of a new project and taking on a validation role at various stages of the project.  You also contribute yourself to the activities as needed.

  • Elaborate the project budgets.
  • Drawing up project schedules and ensuring that they are adhered to.
  • Validate project specifications.
  • Contribute to the definition of the strategy for the execution of projects and for regulatory registrations.
  • In support of the team, contribute to documentation, in particular FMEA, VMP and Engineering Analysis, in accordance with regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Supervise the creation and maintenance of design history files (DHFs) and the completion of PCRs (product change requests).
  • Support regulatory affairs and product quality (analysis of NCs, CPTs and CAPAs).

 

Profile

  • Engineer degree in engineering mechanic or industrial (ENSAM, INSA, UTC, Polytech or equivalent) with at least 8 years of experience in similar position or project management.
  • Strong technical background and ability to manage complex projects in the Medtech
  • Experience in overseeing projects from product design and testing to manufacturing transfer.
  • Expertise in FMEA, Validation Master Plan and Engineering Analysis for ensuring product quality and safety.
  • A deep understanding of medical device safety requirements, including knowledge of ISO-13485, 21CFR part820, CE 93743 is vital.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills are key for establishing smooth internal & external interactions.
  • Strong organizational, writing and validation skills are also important for successful project management and execution.
  • Languages:  French & English fluent mandatory.
